My artistic challenge is to interpret nature across different cultures and climates. I find inspiration in watching birds, people and animals doing what they naturally do in the places I live and travel, including the Pacific Northwest, Florida, the Caribbean, and other parts of the world.

I enjoy the beauty of plants, flowers, fruit and colorful objects that reflect light. I use watercolor and sumi-e as a way to freely express the essense of what I observe whether it results in representational or more abstract art. My goal is to capture the charm of a warm world in motion.
