About Bonnie
Bonnie Hovel spends summers in Washington State and winters in the Caribbean. Her delicate watercolor paintings of the vibrant flora and lazy fauna of her adopted Tortola bring the heat of the British West Indies to the chilly Northwest. She is a Social Worker who began painting after retiring in 1999. She has studied under several very talented artists, including Debra Riley, Joseph Hodge, Anne Olwin, Fumiko Kimura, Paul Benney, Mereth Warren and her colleagues in the B.V.I. Thursday Painting Group. Her works are inspired by her love of natural beauty in her surroundings. Watercolors and Sumi-E are her preferred media.
